Four Final Projects

This is a collage of ONW images that I created in Photoshop. I had to make some things transparent, take out some poles and add a border. This is a Image of ONW with the letters and logo in front this was the first project I did using Photoshop and it was very helpful because it showed me were the tools were. This is a butterfly that I changed the colors and cloned the wings to create the illusion of movement.  For this project I used a text mask and inverted it and then granulated it so that the image  showed through the words.

Web Page Reflection

As my final for my e-Comm program I designed a website. We used Dreamweaver to create them. It has my best projects and bio. I used complementing colors to make it interesting. I learned how to do some coding. I had a lot of fun doing it and I hope you like it.
This is by best Graphic Design project. I used a tutorial to help me design it using Illustrator. It is the Google Play logo, It was difficult to find the right colors to make it but I figured it out.

Creative Color Wheel

This is a creative color wheel I made for fun. I tried out many different tools that I had not used before and had allot of fun doing this. I merged colors together for the background witch was very fun and helpful learning that because I used it in a later project.

Personal Logo

I designed a personal logo in illustrator. I used hexagons because they symbolize connectivity and communication and I hope to work in those fields. On the left is the finished logo and on the right are all the parts of the logo. I really enjoyed making a logo and working in the symbolism to convey a purpose.

Anatomy of Font

Fonts are interesting, they have many types of parts. Fonts also have personality. I took a test to decide what my font was based on my personality. On the right is my personality from the test and on the left is my name in the font given. I tore apart the font to show all the different parts. I would like to see what you can do with a font you chose.

What is Graphic Design?

Most people think that Graphic Design is just pictures and logos, but it is not just that. Graphic Design is a way of expressing yourself. You can express yourself in words, color, shapes, images and spacing. As you can see  Graphic Design is allot more than people thin. Most of  Graphic Design is sociological, trying to figure out how to capture the audience and keep them engaged. Web designers use text and images to capture people and get them to look at there website. Posters and adds are created by graphic designers who are hired by companies to sell there products. So Graphic Design is more than people think and I hope you learned something about it.

Review over "They loved your GPA, then they saw your Tweets" by Natasha Singer. New York Times.

This article is about how colleges are starting to look at applicants social media. And that this can affect wether you get in or not. It also talks about how schools are helping students clear there posts that might get them to not be accepted. Some people are not so happy about colleges looking at the posts and think that is going too far. Some things in this article surprised me. One was the fact that the amount of colleges checking social media is at 30% witch is a 5% increase from last year. I'm surprised that that many people are doing that and soon most colleges will if the trend continues. The second is that some colleges look at people you are friends with and can penalize you because of who they are. It is surprising that they do this because most people accepted all of the friend request they get and it's not there fault that their friends do something that gets them penalized. A few questions that I had where why the number of colleges checking social media is i...
