New index site

 In making my new index I used a template. The template made it so I did not have to do as much coding and it was easier to get the content into a pre-made site. One of the downsides is the fact that it took a long time to figure out what css corresponded to the actual content so it was hard to change the background colors and text color.
The new index page turned out a lot cleaner than if I had not used a template and it has some features that would have taken me a very long time to add. I believe that most professional web designers don't create a lot of sites from scratch but have templates they made or found and use them as the base of any new sites. I think that if you make a template and use it for your sites that it is a good idea but if you are just copying other peoples templates for a profit it is not right and almost should be plagiarism.

Smitty's Lawn and Garden website redesign

For this site I redesigned www.smittyslg.com to be a mobile first site. This was a very interesting redesign because it forced me to follow the same content of the old site while having me design it in a way that works on mobile. I can't say that I like doing mobile first but I know it's importance and I should get used to it.

Don't Make Me Think chapter 1

 This makes you think because you can't tell if the logo is or is not a link. Also the titles look like links but are not obvious.  This makes you think because the Bing logo does not look like a link but it is. Also the icons are not standard so you have to think what they are. The red heading looks kind of like a link but it is not clear. The black text does not look like links but it is.
